We visit the Oregon International Auto Show each year. Here, you can often see the latest models along with a host of custom vehicles. This year’s event runs Feb. 19–22 at the Oregon Convention Center in Portland. After walking the show, we came up with some of the more interesting vehicles at the show. So without further ado, here are the 15 most interesting vehicles at the 2026 Oregon International Auto Show.

2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness by RalliTEK

2026 Subaru Outback Wilderness customized by RalliTEK of Oregon

The latest 2026 Subaru Outback, especially the Wilderness model, has more SUV-like styling vs the previous wagon-based looks. Oregon’s own RalliTEK has really amped up the latest version’s rugged demeanor. It rides on big 265/65/R17 Maxis Razor tires mounted on Rays Gram Light 57DR wheels, and has been lifted 2″ in front and 2.5″ in the rear for a total of 12.5″ of ground clearance. There are a host of other accessory bits, too. The lead photo helps to get an idea of what it looks like from the front. Regardless of the angle, this is one wild Wilderness. Located in the RalliTEK booth.

1971 Citroën DS

1971 Citroën DS

The Citroën DS is a French classic. This was a 1971 model in a great shade of green. These were European classics and are regarded as one of the best riding cars ever made. It’s also looked at as one of the most amazing-looking vehicles ever produced.

2026 Honda Prelude

This was our first sighting of a 2026 Honda Prelude in the flesh, and that qualifies it as interesting. This is a FWD hybrid coupe using the same engine found in the Honda Civic Hybrid. Honda states the Prelude uses many parts from the Type R chassis and is wider than the Civic Hybrid. It also includes factory Brembo brakes with blue calipers.

The new Honda Prelude starts at $42,000 + destination. FYI, we owned a 1998 Honda Prelude SH, and like seeing the Prelude name return. Now we need to get some seat time and see if it stacks up to our old VTEC model.

Datsun 521 Pickup Truck

Datsun 521 pickup truck

To be honest, I don’t know anything about this little light-blue pickup other than the fact I love it. I believe it’s from the late 1960s, and it appears to be a Datsun 521. Regardless, it’s so cool and in great shape. Thanks to whoever brought it.

Custom 2026 Infiniti QX80 Sport

Infiniti QX80 Sport custom - Front

There’s something I really like about this 2026 Infiniti QX80 Sport. This particular customized one has about $20,000 worth of modifications on top of its $102,645 starting price. This includes a custom matte wrap job and big 24″ Docle Luxury Razo wheels and 305/35R24 Toyo Proxes STIII tires, among other things.

Matte gray Infiniti QX80 Sport in matte wrap

This is a clean, custom, and slightly sinister-looking about this big Infiniti, and I have to say, I dig it. I just wouldn’t want to have to be the guy to clean those multi-spoke Dolce wheels.

1972 International Scout II

1972 International Scout II

This 1972 International Scout II is in awesome shape. But this rig should be in great shape—it has just 6,000 miles on it! The new Yokohama Geolandar MT tires help with its classic, rugged good looks. I also love those front hubcaps with the WARN hubs poking through. This rig was in the PAD Overland booth.

2026 Kia K4 Hatchback GT-Line Turbo

2026 Kia K4 GT in white

The Kia K4 is a good sedan with some interesting proportions and lines. However, the Kia K4 Hatchback in GT-Line Turbo guise is a stunner. With hatchback/shooting brake looks, a sportier look, and less awkward proportions, the K4 Hatchback has great lines and styling. This model has a 1.6-liter turbo four-cylinder making 190 hp and 195 lb-ft of torque through an eight-speed auto.

Personally, from just about every angle, the K4 GT looks really good. In fact, I’d say it’s a real head-turner. This was also the first one I’d seen that wasn’t the “Sparkling Yellow” color. I think it looks great in this Snow White Pearl.

Land Rover Series IIA

Land Rover Series IIA

This old Landrover Series IIA oozes cool. From the paint, to the mods, to the rack—it’s just great. These rigs were made from 1961 to 1971. I don’t know which model year it is, but it’s equipped with a host of period-style equipment as well as more modern add-ons. And you know it’s a real Land Rover, because there’s an oil spill kit pad under the engine. Hey, if it’s leaking oil, you know it has oil.

1964 Mini Cooper Ranger Kit Car

Mini Ranger kit car three wheeler

While this might look like an amusement park ride, it’s not. This is a 1964 Mini Cooper Ranger Kit car. It has three wheels and a bright yellow finish with some custom paint on the hood. You can actually see a video about this on the Jet Motor’s YouTube channel. And despite it looking like an amphibious vehicle, it isn’t. But it sure is interesting!

Peugot 205 T16

Peugeot 205 T16

This is one of those cars that definitely made me do a double-take. Found in the Avants booth, this Peugeot 205 T16 is a road-legal rally car. These were made for the infamous Group B rally class in the 1980s, and this street version is a homologation special. This is a rare bird. FYI, the Avants’ theme for the auto show? Road vs Rally. Love it.

1988 Porsche 911 Carrera

1988 Porsche 911 Carrera rally car

This rally-esque Porsche looks just right. It belongs to Sam Um, one of the owners of Werks Gruppe, and was also in the Avants booth. It appears the vehicle participated in the Safari Party Rally, which claims to be the largest gathering of Safari cars since 1986. While I’m not a Porschephile, this one really caught my eye.

Renault Clio Hatchback

Renault Clio hatchback

This tidy Renault Clio on Team Dynamics wheels was a great surprise! Sometimes I forget that you can import a host of vehicles to the USA that aren’t just Japanese. I don’t have any info on this car, but I loved seeing something like this at the auto show. I mean, how many Clios have been in the Oregon Convention Center?

Isuzu Trooper

ReRack Isuzu Trooper

ReRack is a used roof rack company. We’ve bought stuff from them throughout the years, and it’s a good business. They also have good taste in 1990s SUVs, as evidenced by their Isuzu Trooper. Hey, it grabbed my attention, and was most definitely the only Isuzu I saw here.

Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback

Volkswagen Type 3 Notchback

What a great example of a VW Type 3! This wasn’t a fastback, squareback, or Karmann Ghia. No, this was the notchback. These are pretty rare in the U.S., as they weren’t sold here. However, they were sold in Canada and Europe. This version is just awesome. It’s a great color, the whitewalls are fantastic, and it looks like it was lowered. This is just old-school cool and one of my faves of the show. It was located near the Volkswagen booth filled with other classic VWs.

Honda Acty Kei Truck

We’ve written a lot about kei trucks lately. This Honda Acty with a drop-side bed was in the Yakima booth. Finished in matte white with a rooftop tent in the back, a roof rack on the cab, and little baby mud-terrains, it keeps my hopes up that possibly Oregon will pass kei truck legislation. Fingers crossed. In the meantime, feast your eyes upon this fine Honda example.
