We’ve done the Alcan 5000 Rally three times now and written about it extensively. While on the 2024 winter rally, in which we partnered with INEOS Automotive, we took quite a bit of video. Since the rally’s completion in March, I’ve painstakingly put together this Oscar-nominated documentary YouTube motion picture all about it. Behold: our Alcan 5000 video.
About the Video
This video chronicles all 10 days of the rally, from its start in Kirkland, WA to its finish in Anchorage, AK. From long days on bad roads to ice racing on Great Slave Lake; the incredible scenery of northern British Columbia to a harrowing drive over Alaska’s infamous Thompson Pass, it’s got a bit of everything.
This year’s event marked many firsts for us. It was the first time winning any time-speed-distance (TSD) stage (in any rally!). We went to Valdez, AK for the first time (barely). It was the first time running the rally on snow tires. It was the first time we ever won a rally class. And, of course, the first time we’d won any class on the Alcan 5000 as well.
About the Alcan 5000
The Alcan 5000 is the longest rally in North America, as well as the northernmost rally on the continent. Hopefully, you get a taste of how amazing and special this event really is.
For more information on the rally, visit the Alcan 5000 website. The rally is open to the public, with the next event happening summer of 2025—and yes, we’re entered!
We hope you enjoy our Alcan 5000 video, and be sure to like, share, subscribe, and comment on it on our YouTube channel.
